Hi, I'm Tara! I'm a full stack engineer with experience in Java, JavaScript, Rails, and PHP with an academic background in neuroscience. I'm excited to take the knowledge and expertise I've gained working with scientific data and apply it to computational data. I'm someone who is always eager to solve a puzzle, and I've found this characteristic lends itself very well to the world of development. After completing an intensive training course with General Assembly, I have worked as an engineering manager and software engineer at Wayfair (2016-2020), senior software engineer at HubSpot (2020-2022), and am currently an Engineering Team Lead at Zendesk (2022-).

lmgraphtfy - My capstone project at General Assembly, lmgraphtfy (Let Me Graph That For You) poses a series of questions to the user to determine the right kind of graph for the data they have, and supplies a graph generator to make that graph for them. Graph generation uses Chart.js, question tree uses Handlebars, backend built with Ruby on Rails.

BirdR - A simplified, emoji-only social app. Loosely based on Twitter, BirdR is a microblogging app that allows users only 14 characters a post, and only emoji characters. Emoji picker plugin from Wedgies, API built with Ruby on Rails.
